Companion/Personal Assistant, Wednesday, 10A to 2P, Philadelphia, PA, $20/hr

PA state-licensed home care agency seeks an experienced, reliable and compassionate companion for our elderly female client with a history of visual impairment. Responsibilities include driving client to outings, assisting with all ADL's but encourage independence, medication reminders, meal planning/prep, light housekeeping/laundry.

The position will expand to more days and hours with the person who has a good personality and skill match to the client.

Candidates must drive and have their own automobile to transport client on errands and outings. Client will pay for parking and mileage is reimbursed.

All caregiver candidates should have the following:

• 3 or more years experience assisting the elderly or disabled
• PA residency of 2 years or more
• a background free of prohibited offences (we perform our own background checks)
• a complete Covid vaccine series
• an annual physical with 2 step TB testing or a chest x-ray with TB screen is required
• valid PA driver's license
• reliable registered and insured vehicle
• strong reading skills and easily understood when speaking
