Salary: $45,000 - $55,000 plus recruiting bonus potential
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provides recruiting and administrative support to the Human Resources Department.
- Conducts full life cycle recruitment activities, including posting positions, evaluating candidate resumes, interviews, and participation at career fairs.
- Identifies staffing needs of the company.
- Manages New Hire Onboarding Process for all new hires.
- Assists with new hire orientation. Assist with preparing paperwork required to place employee on payroll and establish personnel files.
- Responsible for recruiting metric reporting and coordination.
- Establish applicant sources by building in-person relationships with area high schools, area vocational schools, CDL training centers, PA CareerLink and local colleges to provide organizational information and opportunities for employment.
- Distributes and monitors new hire employee performance evaluations and ensures they are done in a timely manner (i.e., 90 days)
- Assists the HR Manager with basic interpretation of HR policies and procedures.
- Assists the HR Manager with employee relations issues.
- Assists in responding to Unemployment Notices and potential charges in a timely, efficient manner.
- Assists the HR Manager with projects as assigned.
- Maintains high standards of confidentiality of all employee records and information.
- Creates a recruitment network on social media and other mediums such as LinkedIn, Facebook, Indeed, JazzHR, Twitter, USA Movers, Movers Life and all other areas qualified candidates may seek information.
- Additional duties may be assigned or removed at management’s discretion.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENT
Required:
- 2+ years of recruiting experience
- Bachelor’s degree in HR or a business-related field; any equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be considered.
- Ability to be on-site full time working Monday - Friday
Preferred:
- Transportation/moving industry experience
- PHR certification.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Lifting, reaching, bending, standing, walking
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
- Local driving to trade schools (10%-25%)
Policy and procedures, spoken and written communication, decision making and problem solving, organization and planning, decisiveness, and a desire for learning to enhance quality and performance. General knowledge of FMCSA regulations and experience in the moving/transportation industry a plus.
