The Country Inn & Suites By Radisson, Elk River, MN is seeking a full-time Office Assistance /Sales Coordinator. The prime goal is to assist the General Manager’s operating direction to deliver a memorable experience and professional service for hotel guests and teams. It is also to achieve the hotel’s revenue, profit and customer satisfaction goals by prospecting and managing corporate and transit business and coordinating business execution with other departments. Responsibilities and Duties
· Assist the General Manager to achieve hotel revenue goals by prospecting, qualifying, saturating, penetrating and managing business opportunities. Analyze business results on a regular basis and make recommendations to improve results as appropriate.
· Ensure customer satisfaction by following up on booked business periodically to ensure that the hotel is meeting the client’s needs. Maintain contact with previous clients to ascertain future business requirements.
· Seek information from clients about their business needs, seasonality, budget guidelines, hotel needs and services. Provide customized lodging solutions as needed. Negotiate with clients on pricing and value-added solutions, with the assistance of the supervisor. Conduct client visit to illustrate the property and available services.
· Coordinate and manage group blocks according to the general manager’s direction, and engage the group leaders for the future business.
· Keep necessary parties promptly and fully informed of all changes, problems or unusual matters of significance so that prompt corrective action can be taken when appropriate.
· Maintain a favorable working relationship with all other Associates to foster and promote a cooperative and harmonious working climate, which will be conductive to maximize morale, productivity, efficiency and effectiveness.
· Project a favorable image of the Brand and the Company to promote its aim and objectives to foster and enhance public recognition and acceptance of all areas of endeavor.
· Manage the Social Media Communication to engage guests and to represent the company to the public in appropriate.
· Requires a strong ability to communicate effectively and provide clear and concise training. Solid organizational skills are a must for this position.
Qualifications and Skills
Requirements:
Training/Education Required: Minimum of two year associate’s degree in sales or marketing, or equivalent experience, including both inside and outside sales. Must have Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint experience, Desired: Minimum of one year of sales experience or office work. Prior hospitality industry experience is preferred.
Qualification Standards
Ability to accept directions and priorities from General Manager and reliably follow through on tasks. Ability to cooperate and support others, must be able to work independently as well as part of an overall team. Must have an upbeat & outgoing personality and possess the ability to build strong business relationships, be able to multi-tasks, and have good time management and organizational skills. All other duties as assigned.
