Basic Requirements:
- Must be a Christian who is a member of a church that holds Jesus Christ to be their Lord and Savior, and who holds solely the Old Testament and the New Testament as sacred Scriptures.
- Bachelor's degree (BBA, BA or BS) degree required. Preferred concentration in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
General Objectives:
- The Assistant Director of Student Account Services is responsible for all credit, collections and cash activity relating to Student Accounts. This position reports to and supports the Student Account Services Director.
- Provide oversight and supervision for the Cashier's Office.
- Facilitate the collection of funds for the University's Student Account receivables.
- Maintain appropriate staffing levels and plan for the development of the Cashier's Office.
- Analyze historical data to forecast future cash collection goals and trends.
Qualifications:
- Collections experience preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to collect funds and handle cash receipts/deposits.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, attention to detail and excellent customer service skills are a must.
- Ability to pivot from front facing student relations to data integration and analysis.
- Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality.
- Strong computer skills required in Microsoft Office
- Excellent verbal and written skills
- Bilingual preferred, but not required.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise Call Center operations to support student registration and fund collection efforts.
- Ensure accurate deposit of University funds into designated accounts, coordinating with relevant departments and services.
- Collaborate with enrollment-driven departments to support the University's registration process.
- Counsel students and/or parents regarding payment arrangements for tuition accounts as needed.
- Administer the University's Student Insurance Program, including coverage validation and fund reconciliation.
- Manage monthly Student Account statement distribution via mail and e-statements.
- Ensure compliance with PCI DSS, Red Flag Act, FERPA, and other relevant privacy measures.
- Maintain departmental procedures, financial records, and documentation.
- Supervise part-time staff, including scheduling and time-off requests.
- Serve as backup for Collections Manager and Director of Student Account Services as needed.
- Fulfill other duties as assigned by the Director of Student Account Services and administration.
Supervisory Responsibility:
- May assist director in supervising student workers.
