Position Description
Designs, implements and manages an assigned program. Typical duties can include but are not limited to: Identify funding opportunities, conduct program assessments, prepare program reports, oversee and manage program marketing and communications, manage program databases, supervise program staff, plan research activities, coordinate program events, participate in strategic planning, manage program files, establish program standards and objectives, direct logistical activities to promote the success of programs, develop and implement project timelines and ensures deadlines are met, oversee program budget, ensure goals and objectives of grants are met, assists in proposal writing, comply and analyze program statistics.
Major/Essential Functions
  • Effectively and efficiently recruit for assigned graduate programs via excellent verbal and written communication tactics. Create and publicly deliver program presentations. Meet enrollment goals for assigned graduate programs
  • Manage admissions process for assigned Rawls graduate degree programs and certificates. Provide a seamless experience for students from prospect to admit. Recruit students and facilitate their application process. Coordinate with faculty to facilitate the application review process.
  • Coordinate with the Graduate School and Review Committees to facilitate a seamless application process for prospective students. Enter application decisions for assigned programs into Salesforce. Manage attributes and rate codes for newly admitted students of assigned programs.
  • Reporting: assess and improve recruitment practices and methods twice a year using reporting metrics and data collected internally. Provide detailed demographics for assigned graduate programs per enrollment period. Create and maintain Salesforce reports to monitor applicants and track their progress.
  • Plan and host information sessions, yield events, and various programming for assigned graduate programs.
  • Develop and maintain annual recruiting plans and calendars, including email and phone campaigns, recruitment events, and special projects. Seek out and attend recruitment fairs/events. Attend events with student organizations to promote our programs.
  • Maintain and update applications and website systems for assigned programs (application deadlines, requirements, program and catalog links, etc...) as it pertains to admissions and recruiting. Submit website updates and edits to marketing materials to the Marketing and Communications office.
  • Serve as a primary student services contact for prospective students; backup for answering phones, general questions, and managing departmental email accounts.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications
Applicant should have recruitment or sales experience and comfortable speaking publicly. Additionally, applicant must be MS Excel, Word, Access and Outlook proficient, flexible, an excellent verbal and written communicator, a problem-solver, able to multi-task and, able to take initiative.
Higher education recruitment and admissions experience.
Proficiency with Banner, Cognos, Registrar Dashboard, Blackboard and other Texas Tech Systems.
Master's Degree; Excel Certification.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree and four years of experience developing or managing programs or projects. Additional job related experience may be substituted for the required education on a year-for-year basis.

The Jerry S. Rawls College of Business Administration is AACSB accredited and houses the School of Accounting that holds separate AACSB accreditation. The college offers the BBA degree with majors in accounting, energy commerce, finance, information technology, management, marketing, and supply chain management. Several formats of the MBA program are offered in fulltime, weekend, and online modalities in Lubbock, the Dallas/Fort Worth area, Houston, and San Antonio. The College offers MS degrees in accounting, data science, finance, and marketing research and analytics. A Ph.D. in business administration is offered with tracks in accounting, finance, management, management information systems, and marketing. With a faculty of over 140 and a staff that exceeds 80, the college enrolls over 5,000 undergraduate and 800 graduate students.
