Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Full Charge Bookkeeper to join our team. As a Full Charge Bookkeeper, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of our company's financial records and transactions. This is a key role that requires strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and a thorough understanding of bookkeeping principles and practices.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Perform all accounting transactions including invoicing, AR collection, AP processing and banking.
- Manage and maintain relationships with 3rd party HR groups that perform duties including payroll, employee documentation and benefits administration.
- Complete all reconciliations, accruals, and general ledger entries.
- Ensure accounts payable are paid in a timely manner.
- Ensure accounts receivables are collected promptly.
- Process payroll timely and accurately.
- Reconcile bank, credit card and other balance sheet accounts by the 10th day of the following month.
- Maintain the chart of accounts in accordance with financial reporting goals.
- Maintain an orderly digital accounting filing system.
- Cash flow management.
- Stay up-to-date with accounting regulations and best practices
- Create processes to ensure efficiency and accuracy in all accounting systems, using automation wherever possible (i.e., Bill.com).
- Maintain a system of controls over accounting transactions along with the Operations Manager.
- Ensure all accounting processes follow all local, state, and federal government legislation.
- Ensuring all accounting processes align with GAAP.
- Processing, filing and paying sales tax on time and accurately.
- Issue complete and accurate financial reports by the 15th of each month.
- Calculate variances from the budget and report significant issues to management.
- Safeguard the company financial assets.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Education & Experience:
To be successful in this role, you must have the following qualifications:
- Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
- Proven experience as a Full Charge Bookkeeper or similar role
- Proficiency in accounting software -QuickBooks preferred
- Strong knowledge of double-entry bookkeeping principles and practices
- Experience with general ledger reconciliation and financial statement preparation
- Familiarity with accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll processing, and tax filings
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record keeping
- Strong analytical skills to identify trends or discrepancies in financial data
- Knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles)
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial information
