Bookkeeper

Onsite/Remote: Hybrid

Job Summary:

Red Sky Lighting is seeking a passionate and self-motivated Bookkeeper to join our team at our new office in Rancho Cucamonga. The ideal candidate will be easy going with other colleagues, have excellent communication skills, and be able to work effectively in a team-oriented environment. As or Bookkeeper, your main goal is to ensure the accurate and timely recording of financial transactions and maintain the integrity of our financial records.

The primary responsibilities of the bookkeeper would include:

• Recording financial transactions such as sales, purchases, receipts, and payments.
• Maintaining and balancing general ledgers, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
• Reconciling bank statements and ensuring accuracy in financial records.
• Assisting with month-end closing activities and generating financial reports.
• Monitoring and managing cash flow by tracking expenses and receipts.
• Collaborating with internal stakeholders to address inquiries and resolve discrepancies.
• Ensuring compliance with accounting principles and company policies.

We have identified the following essential qualifications and skills required for the position:

• Proven experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or similar roles.
• Proficiency in using accounting software and tools would be a plus (e.g., NetSuite, Bill.com and Microsoft Excel).
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
• Excellent organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team setting.
• Familiarity with relevant accounting regulations and practices (e.g., GAAP).
• High level of integrity and professionalism.
• Flexibility to work three days per week on a part-time basis.
