Position Summary
Alliance for a Better Community is seeking an Executive Assistant (EA) who supports both professional and Personal administrative tasks. The EA works directly with the Executive Director (ED) based in Los Angeles, California. This position is an excellent opportunity to grow in the sphere of social, economic, and racial equity and justice for the Latino/a community.
The candidate must be available from 8:30 am to 6 pm Monday to Friday with the flexibility to be occasionally available nights and weekends when needed. This is a Hybrid position with 60% Remote. Total weekly hours will not exceed 30 without permission. Schedule to be decided together.

Responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate complex calendars with attention to both professional and family commitments
- Implement systems and processes to streamline and maximize the executive’s time
- Anticipate the professional and Personal needs of the Executive Director
- Plan ahead and be "at the ready" to accommodate a variety of tasks throughout the day
- Update ED tasks lists and similar databases
- Coordinate travel
- Act as the primary facilitator for all internal and external contacts
- Track and record the ED’s time
- Organize meetings, including scheduling, sending reminders, and organizing catering when necessary
- Answering phone calls in a polite and professional manner
- Manage high-priority and confidential information

Qualifications
- A commitment to the mission and goals of ABC and a demonstrated commitment to the advancement of the Latino community
- Education: Bachelor’s degree required
- Minimum 4 years of experience providing administrative support to C-suite Executives
- Proficient with Google Suites and Microsoft Office products
- Communications Skills: Good interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills Preference for bilingual candidates (Spanish & English)
- Possess the ability to multi-task in an environment with rapidly changing priorities
- Excellent problem-solving and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and proactively seek guidance where appropriate
Workload and Physical Demands
This position requires weekend and evening work as needed. The physical demands described here represent those that must be met by an employee to perform the essential functions of this position successfully. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these functions. While performing this position, the employee is regularly required to operate a personal computer for up to 8 hours a day, to talk on the telephone or webcam for multiple hours per day, and to have the ability to talk and hear. The employee is occasionally required to support outdoor events and to lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.
