Dual Credit Programs at Lamar State College Port Arthur have expanded to include students across the southeast Texas region, opening up educational opportunities to many students who otherwise may not have the means or opportunity to pursue a higher education credential. The Dual Credit Administrative Coordinator will play a key role in keeping the programs running smoothly by managing administrative office tasks; communicating with internal and external partners to schedule meetings, answer questions, request information, etc.; monitoring the Dual Credit Programs budget; assisting with student registration, degree audits, and development of course schedules; keeping contact lists current; preparing recruitment materials, and other assigned duties in support of Dual Credit Programs. The Dual Credit Administrative Coordinator will support Dual Credit Programs staff and answer to the Director of Dual Credit Programs.
Minimum Qualifications:Associate’s degree.At least one to two years of relevant work experience.Excellent customer service and communication skills.Working knowledge in Microsoft Office applications, office administrative procedures, desktop and laptop computers, copiers, scanners, and normal office equipment.
Good time management skills.
Bachelor’s degree.
Work experience in a higher education setting.
Maintain Dual Credit Programs calendar, to include meetings with external partners, meetings with internal partners, and other events essential to Dual Credit Programs.
Essential Job Functions:Prepare and maintain reports, to include master contact lists, spreadsheet of courses and programs offered at each Dual Credit site, enrollment reports, and other reports as needed and requested.
