DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
This Administrative Coordinator performs a variety of professional administrative functions associated with organization the development and implementation of administrative and supervisory activities of the assigned program. This position supports the functions of the Bureau of Epidemiology.
Job Duties
- Manage the bureau chief’s schedule.
- Author emails, memos, minutes, notes, reports, and announcements
- Coordinate with bureau leadership on cross-cutting projects.
- Perform data entry and analysis.
- Other administrative tasks as assigned.
The position is physically comfortable; the individual has discretion about walking, standing, etc.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Requires a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Liberal Arts, or a related field.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Five (5) years of administrative experience are required.
Professional administrative experience may be substituted for the above education requirement on a year-for-year basis.
LICENSE REQUIREMENTS
None.

**Preference shall be given to eligible veteran applicants provided such persons possess the qualifications necessary for competent discharge of the duties involved in the position applied for, such persons are among the most qualified candidates for the position, and all other factors in accordance with Executive Order 1-6.**

SALARY INFORMATION SPECIAL FUNDED POSITION
Grants & Special fund positions are dependent upon continued available funds. If funding is no longer available, employee may be laid off or transferred. Factors used in determining the salary offered include the candidate's qualifications as well as the pay rates of other employees in this classification.
Pay Grade: 24
