We are in search of a Director of Staff Development (DSD) who will be responsible for strategizing and executing educational initiatives and infection control training within our health center.

Qualifications for the Director of Staff Development role include:
- Substantial experience as a primary infection control prevention specialist
- Proficiency in developing, organizing, and coordinating the Infection Control program according to State and Federal regulations
- Demonstrated ability to protect the facility from potential infection risks by preventing, identifying, and controlling them
- Capability to maintain weekly surveillance reports and compile monthly data
- Experience in maintaining an antibiotic stewardship program
- Proficient in applying current clinical standards of practice to monitor antibiotic usage
- Track record of regularly reporting to Quality Assurance and Infection Control committees
- Experience in providing ongoing education aimed at enhancing the skills of nursing staff
Responsibilities of the Director of Staff Development include:
- Executing educational programs and infection control training within the health center
- Ensuring that nursing staff are well-informed about infection control policies and procedures and enforcing adherence to those standards
- Handling the recruitment, scheduling, performance management, and daily supervision of shift charge nurses
- Coaching and counseling Certified Nursing Assistants/Registered Nursing Assistants in skilled nursing practices
- Conducting health center orientation sessions and maintaining compliance with employee records
- Tracking and analyzing trends related to Nosocomial infections and patients admitted with hospital-acquired infections
