Director of Business Development - Wireless Network Services

KMM Telecommunications (KMM) is a leading national provider of supply chain solutions and Network Services to the U.S. telecommunications market. KMM couples its core logistics services with highly skilled field expertise to deliver integrated solutions spanning full network lifecycles.

KMM is hiring an experienced sales and Business Development leader with a strong history of building relationships and selling services within the telecommunications industry. The candidate must be motivated and driven with a history of generating and closing deals in the telecommunications industry. This is a remote position that will report to the Vice President (Sales) and work closely with our leadership team.

This is a remote position based in California or surrounding states. We are looking for a candidate with experience providing Network Services and solutions to Verizon, T-Mobile, and AT&T, along with extensive California & West Coast experience and established relationships with key C-Level industry contacts.


Job Overview:

The Director of Business Development for Wireless Network Services will primarily focus on growing Tower & Small Cell revenue with Verizon, T-Mobile, and AT&T. The Business Development Director’s primary objective is to identify new business opportunities in the Tower & Small Cell segment, with a secondary focus on opportunities in the Broadband, Solar, and EV Charging business segments.

Responsibilities

  • Strategic Sales Leadership: Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy for the US wireless telecommunications market.
  • Established Contacts: Leverage your pre-established C-Level connections with Verizon, T-Mobile, AT&T, and others in the US telecom industry to gain introductions, build relationships, and close deals.
  • Market Analysis: Stay abreast of the latest industry trends, challenges, and opportunities in the US telecom market.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the sales team to align sales strategies and product offerings.
  • Reporting: Provide regular sales forecasts and updates to senior leadership, leveraging CRM systems.
  • Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers and influencers in the telecom industry.
  • Other: Assisting with other ad hoc tasks to help support the growth of our company.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Minimum of 8-10 years of sales experience.
  • Extensive pre-established connections within the US telecom industry is a must.
  • Demonstrated track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets in the telecom sector.
  • Strong negotiation, leadership, and team management skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • 5+ years of experience with mobile technologies from AT&T, Verizon and T-Mobile
  • 5+ years of experience with telecommunication technologies including Local, Long Distance, Data, Internet, data services, and data centers
  • 5+ years sales experience in Wireless Services; Logistics sales experience also considered
  • 2+ years of Client Relations/Customer Service experience
  • Ability to manage fluctuating workload and prioritize various task as needed
  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal, and adept at interacting with employees at all levels of the organization
  • Demonstrated sales achievements in the telecommunications industry, including connections with key decision-makers in leading service providers
  • Proven track record of assigned sales target objectives with consistent success
  • Strong administration and organization skills, including the ability to create and deliver sales presentations to senior executives
  • Effective written communication, capable of developing compelling proposals and responding adeptly to RFPs
  • Demonstrated experience in complex solution/application selling in the high technology sector
  • Established track record within a collaborative sales environment
  • Proven expertise in consultative selling with extended sales cycles, and proficiency in MEDDIC and Challenger Sales Methodologies
  • Background in Services Delivery and/or live Wireless Network operations desired
  • Self-starter, driven and motivated to achieve results
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office 365 in a PC environment (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field. Master’s degree preferred.
