CHO Plus was founded to address the high costs and production capacity limitations faced by biologics manufacturers (therapeutic proteins and viral vectors for gene therapy). Our technologies for creating and improving Cell Lines will lead to processes with significantly higher productivity while cutting the costs of manufacturing and building expensive new factories. Our engineered Cell Lines will be accepted by regulatory agencies and they will provide improved performance (higher productivity) at a cost similar to accepted industry standards. This senior-level molecular/cellular biologist position is for someone who will help CHO Plus disrupt biologics (protein and viral vector) production, and be motivated to further develop our technologies toward full commercialization. The successful candidate will bring significant experience in Cell Line Development for protein (via CHO) or viral vector (via HEK-293) production. They must work independently on the bench, as well as supervise junior lever scientists.
The position is full time, and is based at the company’s headquarters in South San Francisco. Flexibility regarding working hours and business travel is required.
