Job Overview:Shriners Children's is the premier pediatric burn, orthopaedic, spinal cord injury, cleft lip and palate, and pediatric subspecialties medical center. We have an opportunity for an Administrative Assistant to join our team in Galveston Texas.
Responsibilities:The Department Administrative Assistant supports the Medical Staff team through performing clerical functions for the assigned physician and department. Specific tasks include meeting minutes, creating letters and spreadsheets, maintaining Outlook calendars for the team, travel requests for physicians, reimbursements for Medical Staff, ordering supplies, answering the department phone, reserving conference rooms, preparing reports and serving as a backup to the Medical Staff administrative team.
Qualifications:Education
High School diploma required
Skills and Experience
3-5 years administrative experience
Intermediate level of experience with Microsoft Suite of products
Medical Staff experience preferred
