PHYSICAL WORK ADDRESS: TPWD Caddo Lake State Park, 245 Park Road 2, Karnack, TX 75661
GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
Under the direction of the Park Superintendent, this position performs complex (journey-level) administrative support work including coordinating and managing the daily business operations of Caddo Lake State Park. Prepares daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, annual reports and others as required by Regional Office and Austin Headquarters. Maintains accounting ledgers, budgets and monitoring expenditures. Processes and tracks travel vouchers, timesheets, vehicle logs and purchasing actions using the CAPPS Financial System. Organizes and maintains files, including personnel records, correspondence, travel, and credit cards. Provides customer service to include computer camper registration, selling permits and licenses. Maintains office supplies and inventories and assists with park programs and special events. Provides information and assistance to park visitors and the public. Responsible for the day-to-day operation of the Park Gift Shop to include monthly inventories. Performs general cleaning of headquarters facilities, grounds and equipment. Provides leadership and supervisory functions for administrative staff and volunteers. Other duties may include scheduling and training administrative staff, interpretation, and participation in support group activities. Works under general supervision, with moderate latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment. Performs other duties as assigned. Complies with all Agency, Division and Branch rules, regulations and procedures.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
Graduation from High School or GED.
Experience:
Three years experience performing administrative support duties.
Licensure:
If driving is required applicant must possess a valid State driver's license.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's degree.
Experience:
Three years experience using personal computers, including Microsoft Office word processing and spreadsheet software;
Experience in basic accounting, revenue collection, record keeping and preparing correspondence and reports;
Experience in customer service and public relations;
Experience in training and supervising employees and/or volunteers
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Knowledge of general office procedures;

Knowledge of cash management, accounting, auditing and revenue reporting concepts;

WORKING CONDITIONS
Required to work in a public park with day use;
Required to work 40 hours per week, includes various schedules with hours other than 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and days off other than Saturdays, Sundays and holidays;
Required to perform manual labor including, lifting supplies and materials up to 20 lbs.;
May be required to operate a State vehicle;
Required to travel 5% with occasional overnight stays;
Must conform to TPWD employee dress code, work rules and safety standards;
Non-smoking work environment in all State buildings and vehicles.
