Job Description Summary
Assists the Financial Accounting Manager in the departments day to day activities and maintains the general ledger system, providing all necessary financial statements and management reports. Maintains confidentiality of all related information and documentation.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned)
- Assists Financial Accounting Manager in all aspects of the Financial Accounting Departmentoperations.
- Coordinates the reconciliation of assigned balance sheet accounts on a monthly basis.
- Maintains and balances the general ledger and coordinates the preparation of all necessary journalentries as required.
- Maintains records for fixed assets.
- Assigns special projects to accounting staff as needed.
- Knowledge and assumption of all other Accounting Department functions.
- Provides excellent guest service.

Education and/or Experience
Degree in Business Administration or equivalent preferred. Must have thorough knowledge of accounting principles and be competent in the preparation of financial statements and reports. Should be familiar with spreadsheet applications (Excel). The ability to effectively supervise is necessary. Must be able to communicate in English.
Working Conditions/Physical Demands
To perform this job successfully, the individual must be able to stand, move and work throughout the office area and properties, including walking up to 1 mile, climbing stairs and sitting at a desk/workstation for the duration of the shift. Must be able to work in a smoke-filled environment.
Typically, the individual will be housed in an office environment. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate but will escalate when located in the casino environment. Must be able to grasp, bend, lift and/or carry or otherwise move goods weighing a minimum of 25 lbs. on an intermittent basis, and sufficient dexterity of hand in order to use office equipment including, but not limited to: a computer keyboard, calculator, general office equipment and multi-line telephone.
