POWER Engineers Inc. is seeking a temporary, long-term, Project Coordinator for our Environmental Division - Western Biology Department. This is a field-based position working in the Field office located in Baker City, OR.
Roles and responsibilities:
As a Project Coordinator, you will support and help the environmental project team with the numerous responsibilities associated with the construction and compliance of a major transmission line located in Oregon and Idaho.
Responsibilities will primarily revolve around supporting the daily tasks associated with the Compliance Inspection Contractor (CIC) staff. Duties will include, but will not limited to: BLM Notice to Proceed review/assistance, preparation and updating of a Construction Tracking Matrix, Safety Training Management and reporting, Field Monitoring staff support logistics, tracking and maintaining field equipment, attending and supporting project-related meetings, maintaining and organizing project records/files, assisting with Variance Requests, tracking Problem Areas and Non-Compliances associated with the project, preparing status reports as necessary, and helping with environmental resource spreadsheets (various maintenance and spreadsheet tracking/updates).
The position will be filled by a detail-oriented candidate, with a demonstrated ability to work independently and in a team environment. An established and successful history of supporting environmental compliance monitoring is desired for this candidate. While much of the work for this position is in the field, effective communication skills are important for success in this role. The work schedule may require overtime and work on weekends.
Required Education/Experience:
- High School diploma
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Ecology, or other related field preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including, but not limited to Word, Excel and Outlook
- Excellent time management and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize work
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality and professionalism
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Construction monitoring knowledge
- Experience with federal and state land management/resource agencies
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Must be able to work in remote conditions and independently
- Proficiency in Microsoft Teams
