Position Requirements:

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.

Professional Experience:

  • 3-5 years of experience in project coordination/management, particularly in a technology or software environment.
  • Demonstrable experience in an Agile environment, ideally as a Scrum Master or Project Manager.
  • Proven track record in managing projects, encompassing planning, execution, and delivery.

Certifications:

  • Agile & Scrum Certifications (CSM, SAFe Agilist, PMI-ACP).
  • Project Management Certifications (PMP, PRINCE2) preferred.

Technical Proficiencies:

  • Familiarity with project management tools (e.g., ClickUp, JIRA, Trello).
  • Basic understanding of software development processes.
  • Ability to analyze project metrics for continuous improvement.
  • Communication Skills:
  • Mastery of English in both written and verbal forms.
  • Proficient in public speaking and conveying complex information.
  • Skilled in preparing comprehensive project reports and documentation.
  • Capability to train and mentor team members in Agile methodologies.
  • Effective in running professional meetings, maintaining focus, and respecting time constraints.

Soft Skills:

  • Exceptional organizational skills, with the ability to manage complex projects and multiple tasks.
  • Leadership and team management capabilities, with a focus on collaboration.

Position Duties & Responsibilities:

Agile and Project Management:

  • Champion and enforce Agile Scrum methodology across teams.
  • Oversee and manage sprint planning, including ticket creation and sprint assignment.
  • Collaborate with the CTO and team for effective backlog grooming and ticket triage.
  • Engage directly with stakeholders to comprehensively understand ticket scope, define completion criteria, and gather essential details.
  • Develop detailed ticket scopes for engineers based on stakeholder requirements.
  • Work with the CTO to estimate ticket completion timelines accurately.
  • Monitor sprint progress, ensuring workload balance and maintaining sustainable levels of assignments.
  • Calculate and manage team member sprint point capacities.

Strategic Project Oversight:

  • Coordinate and schedule critical meetings to advance project objectives.
  • Develop and manage engineering roadmaps, including Gantt charts, timelines, and various project views (quarterly, monthly, sprint). Ensure adherence to project timelines, regularly updating stakeholders on progress, potential delays, and roadblocks.
  • Optimize and maintain project management tools (e.g., ClickUp) for departmental efficiency.
  • Facilitate timely and detailed updates from developers on ticket progress.
  • Manage engineering schedules, adapt to new tickets, and effectively communicate any changes or delays.

Inter-Departmental Coordination:

  • Act as a liaison between departments for ticket and request submissions.
  • Organize and set meetings, identifying and including essential participants while avoiding over-inclusion.
  • Identify key decision-makers and optimize processes to prevent bottlenecks in project progression.
  • Maintain professionalism in communications, including the ability to assertively and diplomatically manage interactions.
  • Demonstrate exceptional written and verbal communication skills in all professional interactions.

Quality Assurance & Process Improvement:

  • Implement continuous improvement processes to enhance team efficiency and product quality.
  • Conduct regular reviews of project outcomes against set objectives to ensure quality standards are met.

Risk Management:

  • Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Regularly update risk management plans and communicate potential impacts to stakeholders.
  • Training, Reporting & Documentation
  • Facilitate training sessions for team members on Agile methodologies and project management tools.
  • Prepare comprehensive project reports for executive review.
  • Ensure all project documentation is accurately maintained and readily accessible by working with the Documentation Specialist.

Compensation:

Compensation is determined by experience and may be subject to a 3-month evaluation period:

Salary range: $95,000 - $105,000

Work Schedule:

Full-time position with a 40-hour work week

  • Our business hours are from 8:00 am to 5:00pm (Mountain Time) from Monday to Friday.
