Forum Health is a nationwide network of medical providers and offices specializing in precision integrative and functional medical services. Our downtown Chicago office is looking for an experienced front desk receptionist that can provide quality concierge customer service to our patient base.
Job description
The Medical Receptionist will provide high quality customer service to our patients and perform office administrative duties to increase the effectiveness of the practice. The receptionist is key support to our medical team. This is a fast-paced Medical Office with a high volume of calls and patients. This position serves as the practice first impression to all our patients and visitors, we always expect the person in this role to both dress and act professionally.
Requirements Education/Experience
Requirements include High School Diploma or GED. Great personality. Must have admirable business communication skills, both verbal and written. A high level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations. Exceptional customer service skills and telephone etiquette. Experience working in a healthcare is a must and able to multitask, perform complex problem resolution, and can consistently make decisions without direct supervision. Experience with QuickBooks POS. Knowledge of medical terminology. At least one year of experience in functional or integrative medical practice is preferable. Preference will go to candidates willing to adapt to a fast-paced environment with a steep learning curve.
Necessary Technical Skills: Multitasking, familiarity with Microsoft Office, Problem-solving and emotional intelligence.
Duties and responsibilities include the following:
· Provide each patient with excellent, personalized service
· Greet patients and guests, offers beverage and snacks when appropriate
· Answer incoming phone calls and emails, determine patient needs, and manage as appropriate.
· Accountable for responding to calls and emails within 24hrs
· Fields questions, concerns and complaints from patients and guests
· Manages voicemail and take detailed messages for the medical and administrative staff
· Accountable for daily management of Provider schedules
· Schedule and register patient appointments, procedures, and testing according to Forum Health established protocols
· Accountable for patient check in/check out, which includes assisting patient with completing all necessary forms and documentation to ensure patient records are compliant, updated, and accurate, obtaining copy of patient identification, ensuring insurance card on file, collecting visit deposits at time of scheduling.
· Collect any remaining balances owed on patient account, schedule follow-up appointments, assist patient with any questions or other needs.
· Inform patients of office procedures and policies
· Responsible for creating and sending service invoices to patients; processing payment transactions for patients and vendors, generating credit memos and resolving patient and vendor questions relative to invoicing.
· Accountable for maintaining accurate reports of billing data
· Accountable for office supply inventory
· Obtain external medical reports as required by Providers
· Handles incoming and outgoing mail; sorts and distributes incoming mail
· Inform, educate, and promote practice services and supplements. Responsible for suggestive selling of services and products.
· Ensure reception area is sanitized and well maintained
· Other duties may be assigned.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour
