Zen-Noh Grain Corporation (ZGC) was formed in 1979 to accomplish the goal of establishing a safe and stable supply of U.S. corn, milo, soybeans, and other U.S. food supplies. ZGC is a U.S. subsidiary of ZEN-NOH, the largest agricultural cooperative association in Japan. We operate a grain and oilseed export terminal in Convent, Louisiana, which is the highest-handle grain export terminal in the U.S. In recent years, we have expanded our grain origination and export footprint with joint ventures in Brazil, Canada and Hong Kong. In addition to grain trading, we operate a forage processing and export business headquartered in Washington.

This job is primarily responsible for partnering with various stakeholders (Business Owners, Sponsors, Process Owners, End Users) to gather and document requirements through exemplary communication, facilitation, and organization skills using proven best practice techniques and methodologies. This position assists business leaders in understanding and implementing specific software changes and enhancements, as well as the change management process. This position works closely with the Project Management Team, UI/UX Team, Development Team, and IT Quality Assurance Team to ensure the business needs are met, and all requirements are implemented accurately. The Business Analyst acts as a change leader with Business Partners within the organization and bridges the gap between the business users and the IT Team. This role will work independently while requiring direction only on highly complex issues and will provide guidance to less experienced Business Analysts.
In this job, you will:
- Facilitate requirements elicitation activities.
- Document requirements or user stories per team processes and procedures.
- Identify and define the stakeholder goal or business problem and works with the project team to ensure the requirements, design, and implementation will meet their needs.
- Present requirements documentation to stakeholders for review or approval.
- Effectively analyze the impact of requirement changes.
- Ensure all stakeholders have a shared understanding of the requirements or change.
- Effectively analyze new projects to determine high- level scope and identify gaps, assumptions, or dependencies.
- Create accurate and effective process models.
- Effectively communicate any potential risk and participates in mitigation discussion.
- Analyze all change for any impacts to other areas of the system.
- Effectively identify and communicate potential alternative solutions.
- Identify and document system bugs per team processes and procedures.
- Identify opportunities for system improvement.
- Effectively translate technical details into user-friendly information.
- Answer customer questions and complaints, communicate with customers, and resolve issues in a professional and timely manner.
- Apply knowledge of industry trends and developments to improve service to customers.
- Effectively manage conflicting stakeholder, project, and organizational priorities.
- Complete accurate and effective acceptance testing.
- Work in conjunction with both IT QA staff and end-users during user acceptance testing to clarify requirements and document future needs.
- Lead coworkers through change and adversity, build consensus when appropriate, motivate and encourage others.
- Present information gathered at conferences or in meetings with other team members.
- Propose team processes or procedure changes to manager.
- Propose team goal ideas to manager.
- Other duties as assigned.

Education
Required - Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and training.
Experience
Required - 4 years' related working experience.

Physical Demands & Requirements
Light work. Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects. If the use of arm and/or leg controls requires exertion of forces greater than that for sedentary work and the worker sits most of the time, the job is rated for light work.
Hearing. Perceiving the nature of sounds at normal speaking levels with or without correction. Ability to receive detailed information through oral communication, and to make the discriminations in sound.
