Warehouse Manager

Position Summary:

Manage and direct all warehouse operations to assure customer satisfaction with the accurate and timely shipment of orders.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Include the following, other duties may be assigned.

A. Hires, coaches, trains, builds, directs and manages the team. Adheres to established performance management standards.

B. Review all orders to assure completeness/accuracy, distributes for processing.

C. Respond to requests and prepare cost effective freight quotes for sales staff.

D. Create worksheets for production and kitting.

E. Purchase packaging and maintenance supplies. Assist purchasing, as required.

F. Manage inventory levels. Direct physical inventory counts. Make inventory adjustments.

G. Oversee maintenance of all warehouse equipment; establish and implement preventative maintenance schedule.

H. Assure product quality. Perform quality checks on inbound freight. Perform quality checks on outbound product.

I. Optimizes picking locations and bin management with inventory control to improve efficiencies.

J. Assure compliance with all safety regulations.

K. Manage maintenance of the warehouse; select and manage external contractors.

L. Manage all warehouse files: damage claims, RMA, backorders, and employee records. Assure SAP system is continuously updated.

M. Oversee all UPS and FedEx shipments. Print all barcode labels.

N. Perform a variety of warehouse functions to support warehouse staff as needed.

O. Meet regularly with sales and customer service to determine how we can better support our customers.

P. Documents and maintains all relevant work processes.

Q. Serve as a member of the management team, participating in the development of company policy, strategy etc. Assure compliance with all company policies.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Directly supervisors up to 15 employees. Carries out supervisor responsibilities in accordance with the organizations policies and applicable laws. Assists with recruiting, interviewing and hiring new employees. Provides coaching, counseling and training for employees. Adheres to performance management standards. Provides written and verbal feedback, reviews and approves hour worked, prepares annual appraisals. Updates process documents as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS:

A. 10+ years Warehouse supervisory experience in a fast-moving environment.

B. Lean training/process improvement experience.

C. Inventory management skills.

D. Computer proficiency: spreadsheets, data entry etc. SAP experience a plus.

E. Ability to operate and troubleshoot a broad spectrum of warehouse/manufacturing equipment (punch press, drill press, pneumatic tools, forklift).

F. Supervisory and leadership skills.

G. Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

H. Demonstrated emotional intelligence.

I. Forklift certification.

Plant working conditions: significant standing, walking lifting; occasionally subject to hazardous conditions.

Must be able to withstand a hot or cold warehouse environment depending on outside temperatures

Wear safety gear as required for job tasks

Previous experience that is necessarybackground to qualify for this position:

1. Seasoned level of operations experience within the company.

2. The employee is occasionally required to sit, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.

3. The employee must regularly lift or move over 100lbs.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $50,000.00 per year
