Performing a wide variety of routine bookkeeping duties including but not limited to; the processing of both internal and external requests for the maintenance of all customer accounts, generating and/or processing all necessary reports and/or bookkeeping functions, and answering direct calls from the public while providing exceptional service. Communication with other departments and knowledge on all applications and overall system operations required.
Duties:
Perform all duties required in bookkeeping
- Provide exceptional service by greeting all calls with a "smile", processing requests correctly including account inquiries, stops, copies of statements, etc.
- Promote and provide bank services through listening to client comments and inquiries
- Recommend products or services as appropriate
- Communicate with other departments and be an effective team player
- Follow policy and procedures as required
- Research projects using available resources
- Fed Home loan advances for CODs
All file maintenance ~ make necessary account changes

E-Statement set-up, maintenance and support
Other possible duties:
- Send, verify and receive wires
- Resolve COD non-post items; DDA, SAV, ACH, GL
- ACH organization and distributions and subsequent returns to Fed
- Balance appropriate GL accounts; daily and monthly
- Returned Mail
- Cash letter reconciliation and FED cash position
- ITM - data input
Requirements
Relationships/Qualifications:
- Responsible to Cashier/Bookkeeping Manager for the fulfillment of functions and responsibilities assigned
- Will have contact with customers and the public
- Basic computer and bank knowledge is required, as are excellent communication skills
