Following a major acquisition in 2023, Aeris has doubled its size and expanded into seven new foreign subsidiaries around the world. This new role was created to support the company as it continues to grow and evolve.
We are seeking a Billing and Collections Specialist to join our team. Your primary responsibilities will include:

• Prepare and send out invoices to customers.
• Process cash applications and credit card payment requests, and address related issues as they arise.
• Monitor customer accounts for overdue payments and follow up accordingly, including
  • review payment history and notes to determine appropriate collection steps
  • use good judgement as to when to involve sales representatives
  • escalate to upper management as needed
  • maintain accurate and detailed record of customer interactions
• Monitor Billing and Collections mailbox and provide timely responses to both customers and internal stakeholders, which may include providing copies of invoices or statements, addressing billing questions, updating customer information, etc.
• Collaborate with sales representatives and other departments to resolve billing discrepancies and customer inquiries
• Assist with month-end close activities and related journal entries.
• Ad hoc Billing and Collections projects, as needed

Requirements:

• Experience with collections required.
• Excellent written and verbal skills with the ability to compose professional emails and effectively communicate with customers and internal stakeholders.
• Detailed, organized and able to work independently to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
• Possess good judgement, exemplary customer service mindset and positive attitude.
• Knowledge of NetSuite preferred.
