Position Summary
Responsibilities
- Serve as the central point of contact for employees seeking leave of absence within the department, providing guidance on eligibility, documentation requirements, and processes.
- Collaborate with central HR and departmental managers to ensure compliance with related regulations and university policies.
- Manage leave paperwork and documentation, ensuring accuracy and completeness in accordance with legal requirements.
- Facilitate communication between employees, supervisors, and central HR to ensure a smooth transition during leave and return to work.
- Maintain and organize files, records, and documents to facilitate easy retrieval of information.
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive employee information and handle leave-related matters with discretion and professionalism.
- Coordinate processing of short-term visitors in Medicine via JIRA.
- Provide high-level administrative support to the Senior Director, including managing calendars, scheduling appointments, and coordinating meetings.
- Act as a primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, demonstrating professionalism and discretion in all interactions.
- Performs additional related duties as needed.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in education and experience, plus three years related experience.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact effectively with individuals at all levels.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and a collaborative mindset.
- Proficient in Microsoft Oice Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and other relevant office software.
Preferred Qualifications
Familiarity with FMLA regulations and experience in coordinating leaves of absence.
