The Hustle:
As an Admin Assistant, you will be responsible for assisting in all aspects of order processing, customer followup, and supporting managers with key administrative tasks. Your role will involve a mix of both direct customer contact (60%) and administrative assistant duties (40%). Ultimately, success in your role means making sure customers are happy, and making sure the administrative details are handled. 3% of applicants have what it takes to be successful here. This position requires strong customer service skills and strong attention to detail. Manufacturing / hardware store / industrial supply experience is a huge plus.
Key Responsibilities:
Customer Service
· Provide information about products and services
· Answer customer questions
· Respond to customer complaints
· Process the paperwork for new and existing customer orders
· Take new customer orders from phone, email, and web
· Set up new customer accounts
· Process returns
Admin
· Provide administrative support in processing customer payments (checks, credit cards, payment by phone, etc).
· 1st point of contact to answer phone calls and direct callers to appropriate personnel
· Input and update information in databases and spreadsheets.
· Use word processing and presentation software to create and edit documents.
· Operate and maintain office equipment, including printers, copiers, and fax machines.
· Work closely to support CEO and other senior managers as needed.
· Coordinate logistics for important customer/supplier/management meetings, including room setup and catering.
The Cheddar:
Base pay is $18-$20/hr based how Extraordinary your experience is. Other benefits include flexible paid time off, medical insurance (HMO and PPO options), and at least 10 paid holidays / year (Superbowl Monday is not one of them).
