Job SummaryThe Graduate Assistant to the Clinical Coordinator will contact potential preceptors and clinical sites for the Georgia College & State University School of Nursing.
Contact will be made by email (can be done after traditional business hours) and phone (will need to be done during traditional business hours).
Will require 8 hours per week of traditional 9-5:00 business hours.
The Graduate Assistant will select either:
Work 1 day per week 9:00-5:00, or
Work 2 days per week 9:00-1:00
- The remaining 11 hours can be done on evenings/ weekends, if desired.
ResponsibilitiesCommunicate with clinical sites - 30
Reach out to clinical practices on behalf of the School of Nursing to obtain clinical placements (by email and/or phone.)
Run reports - 20
Train with Graduate Clinical Coordinator to learn how to run reports & access contact information in Project Concert.
Database maintenance - 20
Help maintain Project Concert database of names & contact information re: potential clinical sites & preceptors.
Liaison - 10
Liaison with GCSU staff members to assist with/follow up on pursuit of new MOUs.
Relationship building - 10
Identify areas of need and inquire at sites with whom we do not have a relationship or MOU to build our "pool" of preceptors.
MOU follow up - 10
Follow up with sites with whom MOU has expired.
Educational Requirements
Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
Other Required Qualifications
Current unencumbered license as a registered nurse in Georgia required at time of hire. Familiarity with Microsoft Office products.
Must be enrolled in a minimum of 6 credit hours in a graduate nursing program for every semester that they will receive a tuition waiver/stipend, Part-time and post-master's students may need to check their programs of study to see if they would be eligible.
Required Experience
Experience working in an office setting.
Preferred Experience
Experience working with securing clinical placements and/or MOU's.
