SUMMARY
The Administrative Assistant will perform administrative tasks and services to support effective and efficient operations of the school.
The successful candidate/team member must possess exceptional communication skills, human relation skills, be extremely organized, professional, self-motivated and have the ability to multitask in a fast paced environment.
The candidate would have a passion for helping others and possess cultural awareness/competency and understanding to support the needs of a diverse student and family/caregiver populations.
Candidates who possess the skill set of biliteracy and/or bilingualism are strongly encouraged to apply as we serve a multilingual student and parent population in D207.
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist in the preparation of communications including but not limited to announcements, documents, letters, reports and presentations for leadership, department chairs and coordinators, teachers, teaching assistants, support staff, parents and school community;
- Handle incoming phone calls, emails, and other communications on behalf of the principal, responding as necessary or redirecting to appropriate staff members;
- Lead and assist with the organization and facilitation of meetings, activities, events, and special programs including but limited to conferences, graduation ceremonies, open houses;
- Assist in planning, coordinating and maintaining meeting agendas and records;
- Handle accounting functions accurately, completing online budget transactions and grant-related budget procedure and financial record keeping;
- Maintain administrative, departmental, and building calendars;
- Assist with the organization and maintenance of staff performance records;
- Maintain precise records required for federal, state, and regional reports, including the organization of grant and audit records and school data in order to complete mandated reports;

- Excellent computer skills including but not limited to Google Workspace, Microsoft Office Suite experience, Social Media platforms, etc;
- Such other skills and qualifications as the Board and Administration may establish.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- Minimum: High school diploma or relevant qualification.
- Prior related office experience preferred.
- Required: Motivated to continuously learn and develop industry-related skills and certifications.
- Hands-on experience with office equipment (e.g. phone systems, fax machines, printers, etc.)
WORKING CONDITIONS/ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Work is performed in an office setting with extended periods of time sitting and/or standing.
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Exposure to video display terminals occurs on a regular basis.
- Ability to accept work interruptions in a considerate, helpful manner.
- Communication may not always be cooperative in nature and requires tact and discretion.
- Must be able to lift 20-25 pound boxes
WORKING DAYS/HOURS
- Monday-Friday, 7:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
- Occasionally, duties and responsibilities require working hours beyond set hours and days.

- 12-month (260 paid days)
- Total Number of Paid Hours/Day: 7.75

- Salary - $55,815.50
