- POSITION TITLE: ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT
- Location: PHARR, TX.
- FLSA: non-Exempt.
- Hire Pay: $15.00 per hour.
- Classification: Full-time.
JOB SUMMARY:
- Provides administrative support to ensure efficient operation of the office.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills; be able to organize their work using tools, like MS, and Excel.
- Provide general support to Operations Director.
- Ensures the efficient and smooth day-to-day operation of the department.
- Prior computer use experience, receives and distributes mail, answering phone calls.
- Must be detail-oriented.
- Working knowledge of office equipment, like printers and fax machines.
- Problem-solving skills.
- Must have good problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Must have strong leadership skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Creates performance and monthly reports as needed.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Ability to foster and maintain effective working relationships with supervisors and other team members.
- Defines reporting and alerting requirements.
- Develops and implements targeted surveys for the purpose of gathering market information.
- Analyzes workflows and makes recommendations for streamlining or improving processes.
- Write and distribute email, correspondence memos, letters, faxes, and forms.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Receives supervision from the Operations Director.
- The position has no formal assigned supervisory responsibility or authority.
- Must complete jobs without constant supervision.
- The principal duties of this position are performed in an office environment.
- Works standing and sitting for prolonged periods of time while working on a daily basis.
- Sits, stoops, crawls, climbs, lifts, bends, kneels, pulls and pushes while performing job duties.
- Lifts equipment weighing up to 30 pounds.
ALCOHOL AND DRUG TESTING POLICY:
This position is subject to the DLP Services LLC, Drug-Free Workplace Policy which includes: Post-Accident Testing, Random Testing, and/or Reasonable Suspicion Testing.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education and Experience:
- A high school diploma or equivalent education is required.
- 2 years of Administrative Assistant experience.
- Must pass a background check.
- Must be bilingual.
- Must have valid Driver License.
- Human Resources experience. (preferred)
- Effective interpersonal/communication skills.
- Ability to understand written and verbal communications.
- Knowledge of appropriate software including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Microsoft PowerPoint and Adobe Acrobat.
- Ability to read, understand, follow, and enforce safety procedures.
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize work.
- Able to operate electronic devices for clocking in/out procedures.
- Ability to safely use cleaning equipment and supplies.
- Ability to lift, push/pull and manipulate heavy objects up to 30 pounds.
- Valid Drivers’ License Class C.
