Summary:
Under the general supervision of the District Court Administrative Supervisor and Director of Administrative Services, will provide exceptional customer service, clerical and administrative support to the District Court locations. Will be responsible for developing, maintaining and updating files, records and databases. This position involves interaction with attorneys, law enforcement agencies, court personnel, state agencies and the public and involves a wide range of responsibilities.
QUALIFICATIONS:
· Must possess a minimum of 2 years of full-time or equivalent part-time administrative work experience
· Strong computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
· Excellent organizational skills with a strong attention to detail
· Prioritize time sensitive matters and ensure all deadlines are met
· Strong written and verbal communication skills
· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritize effectively and meet deadlines
· Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality and maturity in handling sensitive matters
· Diplomacy in dealing with professionals and members of the public
· A sincere interest in public service, the Criminal Justice System, the role of the prosecution and the work of the Plymouth County District Attorney’s Office
· Self-motivated individual who works well both independently and as part of a team
· Ability to maintain harmonious relationships with fellow employees and other government agencies
· Ability to work at any one of the Plymouth County District Attorney’s Office locations in Brockton, Plymouth, Wareham, and Hingham
· Always displays the utmost professional appearance
· High school diploma or equivalent required
Duties and Responsibilities:
· Provide administrative, clerical, and general support to the District Court Assistant
District Attorneys and the entire office
· Greet visitors, assess their needs, and assist them or refer them to the appropriate staff
· Provide reception coverage on a continual basis or as back up depending on the needs of the office
· District Court DAMION case entry, updating and disposition
· Answer, direct and respond to incoming calls
· Photocopy, fax, scan, proofread and create documents
· Storage and retrieval of files
· Manage internal and external mail flow
· Type correspondence and summons witnesses and records
· Provide backup administrative support to other locations when needed
· Attend meetings and trainings as required
· General office upkeep
· Participate in projects as assigned by ADAs
· Perform any other duty that may be requested by the District Attorney or his designee
