POSITION SUMMARY:
Assists in the completion of administrative tasks in addition to secretarial duties. Maintains a close working relationship with the management staff. Exercises decision making skills using personal judgement and carries them out in a tactful manner. Communicates with a large number of technical and professional personnel within the St. Joseph's Network as well as the greater community. Is able to handle several situations simultaneously and prioritize accordingly. Gives evidence of a good command of business procedures. Must maintain confidentiality. Must be self-directed.

SPECIFIC DUTIES:
Include standard secretarial work with additional admin work including management of spreadsheets and data entry. Use of Microsoft excel, word, and teams is necessary to draft documents and minute meetings etc.
EDUCATION, TRAINING, EXPERIENCE, CERTIFICATION AND LICENSURE:
High school graduate or equivalent, business school or formal secretarial training preferred. Three years minimum experience in a secretarial setting. Participates in education conferences and in-services.
Participates in orientation and continuing education. Updates and maintains knowledge and skills related to specific areas of expertise. Completes population specific competency annually on populations served as identified in scope of care and service.
SPECIAL EQUIPMENT, SKILLS OR OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
PC and appropriate software knowledge. Knowledge of office equipment and supplies. A solid understanding of department related terminology. Effective communication skills both oral and written as well as good interpersonal, motivational and strong organizational skills including time management required. Customer service orientation.
