New York Institute of Technology seeks an Administrative Assistant for the College of Arts & Sciences (CAS) Humanities Department at our NYC campus. Reporting to the Co-Chairs of the Humanities Department, this person will provide office and administrative support for the department.
- Assist the department co-chairs in the operation of the office
- Assist with the preparation of each semester's course schedules and faculty members teaching responsibilities
- Process compensation of full and part-time faculty
- Email communications and outlook meeting schedules for department co-chairs
- Assist with student/faculty/course issues (registration, scheduling, room changes, final exam scheduling, etc.)
- Collect and store final grades and syllabi
- Prepare and distribute appointment letters.
- Purchase and maintain supplies (paper, ink, grade books, etc.) for the department.
- Bachelor's degree required.
- Previous experience in administration is preferred, including working with Microsoft Office Suite & Adobe Sign.
- Previous experience using Workday software desirable.
