Job Description
Strategy and Vision. Early Care and Learning Council (ECLC) is a statewide, not-for-profit membership organization that
represents the 35 Child Care Resource & Referral (CCR&R) programs across New York State. The CCR&Rs are on the
front lines, providing direct assistance and support to parents, childcare providers, and employers in their communities.
The Strategy & Vision Team focuses on the work of Research and Data collection and analysis, and Community Education
across the NY state network of Childcare Resource and Referral Centers.
Responsibilities
Responsible for the coordination of departments activities; scheduling internal and external meetings, taking
minutes, drafting agendas, and reports.
Works cooperatively with other staff members in project related conferences and training activities planning and
implementation.
Maintains the departments calendar, responsible for the development, implementation and coordination of
departments goals and activities.
Assist in the preparation of regularly scheduled reports and documents, background documents, board materials,
and presentations.
Track departments budget, manage contract reporting.
Write and distribute email, correspondence memos, letters, and forms; maintain updated contact list.
Update and maintain departmental and office policies and procedures.
Other duties, as assigned.
Job Requirements and Qualifications
Proven experience as an Administrative Assistant, event planner or other relevant administrative support
experience.
In depth understanding of entire MS Office Suite.
Ability to organize a daily workload by priorities.
Must be able to meet deadlines in a fast-paced quickly changing environment.
A proactive approach to problem solving with strong decision-making skills.
Professional level verbal and written communication skills.
Bilingual preferred; ability to understand and to make one self-understood to all Spanish speaking individuals is
a plus.
