Job Summary:
This position supports the Michigan Health & Hospital Association (MHA) Field Engagement division, encompassing member relations, recruitment, retention, education, and events.
Responsibilities:
Works in collaboration with the Field Engagement team on membership management, including but not limited to membership recruitment, application, onboarding, and retention.
Assists in MHA member event and conference support, including planning, registration, and on-site facilitation. Acts as a staff representative to all major membership meetings to assist members in registering and troubleshooting any onsite problems.
Supports, coordinates, facilitates and attends committee meetings provided by Field Engagement. This includes but is not limited to scheduling meetings, creating supporting documents, and taking minutes.
Drafts, formats, proofreads, and/or edits MHA presentations, reports, alerts, surveys, and other communications. Acts as super user of the association management, survey, and email marketing systems.
Schedules in-person appointments and virtual meetings, reserves meeting rooms, and arranges for catered meals.
Assists with the MHA membership dues invoicing process and other correspondence.
Collaborates with the Field Engagement team to respond to member inquiries and needs.
Provides backup support for the front desk, including routing calls and greeting visitors.
Provides general administrative support as assigned.

Required Education:
A high school diploma or GED is required. An associate degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school is preferred. Six months to one year of related experience and/or training or an equivalent combination of education and experience is also acceptable.

Working Conditions:
Primarily works in a well-lighted, well-ventilated, tobacco-free environment. The position requires occasional travel to meetings and association events and may need time away from home outside regular working hours. Must possess a valid driver’s license.
