Accounts Payable Specialist Staff Accountant Ii

YMS is a terminal tractor and equipment logistics solutions company that sells, services and rents, and trains on terminal tractors and forklifts. While based primarily in Pearland, Texas, YMS has locations in Pearland, Dallas/Fort Worth and San Antonio.

Yard Mule Specialists, Inc. is seeking a versatile employee for Accounts Payables in the Pearland location. Good candidates possess a keen ability to multi-task - the ability to switch between tasks quickly and easily; is computer adept; and is adaptable - having the ability to quickly think on their feet.

· Responsible for coding and entering payables for all vendors and expense accounts.

· Ensure all payables are approved and filed once entered into accounting system.

· Prepare vendor statements by accounting for all invoices.

· Prepare vendor checks and other related material for mailing.

· Maintain company accounting system with current address and contact information for vendors.

· Prepare monthly credit card statements for entry.

· Rotate and store files annually.

· Filing and copying duties.

· Back-Up Receptionist duties

· Other duties as assigned by Management.

· Special projects as assigned.

· Abide by all Yard Mule Specialists, Inc. written policies and procedures.

· Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel

· Recent Quickbooks Desktop Experience

· Accounts Payables Experience 2 years+. Will accept an equivalent combination of education and experience that provides the knowledge, skills and abilities needed to perform the duties assigned.

· High School Diploma or equivalent required

· Data Entry

· 10-Key Typing

· Multi-Tasking

· Valid Driver’s License

· Must be able to lift at least 10lbs and able to sit for long periods of time.

· Great work ethic and reliability

· Willingness to jump in and to help out where needed.

· Attention to details.

· Good written and verbal communication skills

· Ability to work independently.

· Honesty and respect and team player

· Maintain positive relations with all customers and vendors and staff.
