The Accounts Payable Specialist is responsible for performing day to day financial transactions including, verifying, classifying, and recording accounts payable data.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform data entry and completes payments by receiving, processing, and verifying of invoices.
- Calculating, posting business transactions and bank deposits.
- Processing of Journal Entries
- Processing of General Ledgers
- Bank Check Deposits
- Reconciles processed work by verifying entries and comparing system reports to balances.
- Generate payment to vendors on a routine schedule and match the check with backup for review.
- Ensuring utility bills are paid in a timely and accurate manner while adhering to departmental procedures
- Develop and maintain a filing system for financial information, records, and documents to easily ensure availability.
- Sort and distribute daily incoming mail and inter-company correspondence.
- Performs other duties as required to support the Payables Department.
QUALIFICATIONS
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Requires a minimum of 2 years Accounts Payable experience.
- MS Dynamics (D365) Experience
- 10-key by touch (speed and accuracy).
- Experience working with computerized Accounts Payable systems required.
- Demonstrated computer skills including a working knowledge of MS Office products, including Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
