Key Responsibilities
As our Construction Accounting Specialist, you'll be responsible for managing the financial aspects of our construction projects, including:
- Processing Accounts Payable invoices
- Reviewing and verifying invoices for entry
- Monthly vendor statement reconciliation
- Ensuring subcontract, purchase order, and direct costs align with commitment costs
- Producing weekly check batches
- Coordinating and communicating with staff and vendors/suppliers
- Maintaining confidentiality and exercising discretion
- Following Texas Lien Waiver guidelines and processing notices
Skills & Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of construction accounting principles
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to multi-task
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Textura, Viewpoint/Vista
- Familiarity with Procore (not required but a plus)
- Ability to meet all deadlines in the monthly accounting process
- Detail-oriented and precise with numbers
