Accounting Coordinator

Objective:
To support accounting team with timely and accurate cash and financial reporting.

Salary Range: $25.00-$28.00 per hour

Responsibilities:

 General Ledger Reconciliations & Entries

• Review, research, post, and report transactions or discrepancies on various cash accounts on a daily basis
• Assist, prepare and review daily cash deposits and pay outs resulting from driver route activity
• Post weekly payroll and payroll tax entries and communicate to 3rd party tax vendor of discrepancies
• Generate ranker reports from VIP Green screen on a monthly basis to reconcile various inventory item (ii.e., grocery pallets, cooperage, FOB, taxes, and other balance sheet items)
• Communicate with affiliated companies (intercompany) of pass-through charges or credits so that both entities are in balance

Reconciling Sales

• Verify that all sales invoices from deliveries are accounted for daily, using web-based register procedure
• Review, research, and reconcile invoices of all product returns and variances
• Ensure all invoice billing is executed in compliance with company accounting standards
• Resolve customer and Sales Representatives inquiries with inventory and A/R accounts within 24 hours
• Assist in tracking and obtaining missing invoices with Sales and Operations Departments
• Monitor all intercompany warehouse and product transfer and register the activity
• Work with Management team to ensure the process of filing, scanning, and storing of company invoices is documented properly

Cash room  

• Log funds received from Drivers and Sales Reps into the cash logistics software program and driver iOS device
• Prepare deposits for bank
• Prepare end-of-day report for each day to balance, and summarize activity for recon specialist
• Research bank discrepancies with checks with coworkers and customers when issues arise
• Review deposits for counterfeits

Requirements:

• Strong understanding of cash room, accounts receivable, daily sales register, and accounting principles
• In general, hours from 9 am to 5 pm, with later days to complete reconciling sales (shift 1 pm to 10 pm)
• Stong ability to follow-through a project to its completion
• Proactive with keen sense of logic and critical thinking
• Excellent oral, written, and spoken language skills.
• Profiency with VIP on the Web, , MS Office Suite, Nexus, and VIP Green Screen
