Patient Coordinator

New Jersey Brain and Spine is searching for a highly organized and detail-oriented New Patient Intake Representative to join our growing team in Hackensack, NJ. In this role, you'll be the first point of contact for new patients, playing a vital role in setting the tone for their experience at our practice.

Responsibilities:

• Be the friendly voice on the phone: Answer new patient calls with a positive and professional demeanor, addressing questions and concerns.
• Streamline the intake process: Collect patient demographic information, schedule appointments, and verify insurance details.
• Insurance Expertise: Explain insurance benefits and out-of-network coverage clearly and concisely to patients.
• Appointment Scheduling Pro: Work with doctors to optimize their schedules, ensuring efficient patient flow.
• Communication is Key: Clearly communicate appointment information to both patients and staff, making adjustments as needed.
• Patient Advocate: Set proper expectations for patients based on their insurance plans and strive to accommodate reasonable requests.
• Perform other duties as assigned

Hours:

· Monday to Friday (8-4:30 or 8:30-5). NO NIGHTS OR WEEKENDS!

Qualifications:

• Prior experience in a fast-paced medical office
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex information in a clear and concise manner.
• Proficient in appointment scheduling software
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Familiarity with medical billing and insurance verification can be a valuable asset.
• Experience with eClinicalWorks a plus.

Compensation and Benefits

• The hourly rate is $20 to $24, commensurate with education and experience.
• Benefit package includes health insurance, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance, 401(k) plan, and paid time off.
• Benefit eligibility: all employees who work 30 hours or more per week are eligible for the benefits package.
