Job Summary:
To manage and supervise the operational and administrative functions, activities, and projects of an Urgent Care clinic. Responsibilities include managing, planning, and coordinating the operations of the clinic to include:
Supervising all clinic staff, billing and collecting procedures, monitoring delivery of patient services, planning for space allocation, acting as liaison with patients, businesses, hospitals, and faculty.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Monitor delivery of patient services to include reviewing physician activity data and forecasting and preparing for all changes needed or impacted by patient load, billing/collecting procedures, and government regulations and policies.
2. Complete various special projects, which may require reviewing and analyzing information, identifying problems, recommending solutions, writing reports, and ensuring completion in a timely manner.
3. Recruit, supervise, and direct all non-provider staff to ensure the clinic operates in an efficient manner and that the patients receive high quality customer service.
4. Review internal policies and procedures and update as needed.
5. 7. Function as the clinic liaison with patients, businesses, hospitals, and staff.
6. Maintain on-site medical records administration and ensuring that all state and federal regulations governing the release of information are followed.
7. Verify and process payroll.
8. Maintain employee files with confidentiality.
9. Ensure adherence to all laws and regulations regarding employment, affirmative action, safety, drugs, medical waste disposal, and safety.
10. Ensure that patient records are accurate and complete, and that patient confidentiality is strictly maintained.
11. Develop efficient methods for patient scheduling.
12. Oversee the cleaning and maintenance of the facility.
13. Oversee the selection and maintenance of equipment.
14. Supervise the selection and ordering of supplies.
15. Develop and implement a marketing plan for the practice.
16. Maintain an appropriate office environment.
17. Review monthly budgets and expenses for accuracy.
18. Ensure lobby and all examination rooms are stocked with appropriate literature.
19. Assist in new hire training of procedures and EMR software.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Administration or a Health related field with five (5) years of job related experience, including one (1) year of supervisory experience.
2. Knowledge of the data processing equipment, personal computer, and other standard machines common to the business office.
3. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to lead the team to superior levels of service as perceived by the customer/patient.
4. Understanding of medical coding and billing.
5. Knowledge state and federal regulations including OSHA, HIPAA, blood borne pathogens, and others.
6. Ability to supervise, train, and evaluate new and current provider staff.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: From $23.50 per hour
