Position Overview:
As the Director of Marketing and Sales for Encore Optical Laboratory, the primary responsibility is to drive organizational growth through strategic business development, innovative marketing strategies, and effective sales leadership. This senior role demands an in-depth understanding of the optical industry, strong business acumen, and the ability to forge new business relationships while expanding our customer base. The Director will play a critical role in shaping the company's Marketing and Sales strategy, be responsible for the company’s total growth revenue, and will be based out of Florida.
Key Responsibilities:
Development and Management of Sales and Marketing Strategy:
- Design and implement a comprehensive sales and marketing strategy that aligns with the company's overall objectives and market dynamics.
- Plan for the recruitment, hiring, and training of a high-performing sales team to effectively execute the strategy.
- Oversee the sales team's activities, providing guidance and leadership to ensure they meet their individual and team goals.
- Continuously assess and refine the sales and marketing strategy based on market feedback and Sales performance data.
- Foster a culture of success within the sales team, emphasizing training, development, and accountability.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure that sales and marketing strategies are integrated with the company's broader goals and objectives.
New Business Development:
- Identify and target potential new clients, including optometrists, ophthalmologists, retail optical stores, and other relevant organizations.
- Develop and implement strategies for acquiring new accounts and expanding market share.
- Prepare and deliver presentations to prospective clients, highlighting the benefits and features of our optical lab services and products.
Relationship Management and Networking:
- Cultivate and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships.
- Represent the company at trade shows, industry events, and professional associations to network and promote our services.
Market Analysis:
- Conduct market research to identify trends, new markets, and customer needs.
- Provide strategic insights to the executive team on market demands, competitive analysis, and potential growth opportunities.
Sales and Revenue Targets:
- Responsible for the company’s total sales revenue growth
- Meet and exceed sales targets and objectives.
- Monitor sales performance and adjust strategies as needed to ensure growth.
Collaboration with Lab Team:
- Work closely with the lab team to ensure a thorough understanding of our product capabilities and service offerings.
- Communicate customer requirements and feedback to the lab team to help tailor products and services.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, or a related field; optical industry background preferred.
- Proven track record in sales and business development, ideally within the optical or healthcare sector.
- Strong networking and negotiation skills.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to travel frequently for client meetings and industry events.

This position is primarily field-based, involving travel to client sites, industry events, and occasional visits to the optical lab. The role may involve non-standard working hours to accommodate client schedules and events.
