Temporary Human Resources Generalist

We are seeking a Human Resources Generalistto join our team in Ontario! The HRG manages the day-to-day operations of the Human Resource office and ensures the company attracts, hires and retains the best employees.
Duration: 6- 7 months
Responsibilities

• Supports the warehouse manager in recruiting needs
• Creates job postings and manage recruiting workflow in the Applicant Tracking System
• Completes the on-boarding process of new employees from the application and related paperwork to the new hire orientation
• Takes appropriate disciplinary action against employees who violate rules and regulations and addressing employee grievances
• Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
• Assist the HR Manager in the coordination and execution of employee engagement activities
• Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Bachelors degree, preferred in Human Resources or Business Administration
• Strong self-motivation, a team player and a quick learner.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
• Understands the general concept of HR function or HR-related work process.
• Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
• Must be passionate about working for HR.
