Will have previous experience managing full cycle recruiting processes, be comfortable in a changing environment and can operate at a quick pace as tasks may change frequently. Demonstrates ownership and accountability, considerable judgment and initiative, is detail oriented as tasks must be completed correctly, will carefully follow-up in a friendly and helpful manner, has the ability to communicate effectively both written and verbal to individuals or groups; lead and influence others effectively; display strong work ethic and integrity; collaborate cross functionally.

 

This position is responsible for...

 

Under minimal supervision the Human Resource Business Partner performs a wide variety of routine and complex, confidential Human Resources activities to include to include full cycle recruiting, employee relations, leadership coaching/development, record keeping and reporting functions. S/he will be viewed as a trusted resource by internal customers and will partner with our commercial organization including the senior leadership team.

 

Your day will be very busy… you will:

 

  • Serves as a Business Partner to assigned client groups assisting in the following areas: employee training, coaching and development, employee relations, compensation, performance management and human capital operational needs.
  • Works with client group(s) to strategically advise on ways that human capital can support the assigned departments mission and vision.
  • Manages the complete full cycle recruitment process for assigned business unit(s) positions.
  • Maintains contact and relationships with temporary employment agencies including sourcing of new providers. 
  • Independently researches and answers routine and non-routine questions related to HR from employees, managers and the Payroll Department. Provides information regarding established HR policies, benefit programs, forms, records and practices and leave of absences. Recognizes the need for deviation from standard practices and gains the appropriate approval.
  • Completes research into compliance practices and policies then provides suggestions for improvements and changes to Breg’s HR Policies and Procedures. Ensures compliance with federal and state laws to mitigate Breg’s exposure for lawsuits and employee grievances.
  • Assists managers in creating an effective and impactful on boarding experience for new hires to ensure at least one year of retention for at least 97% of newly hired employees.
  • Communicates with employees at all levels of the organization in one on one settings, group settings and also through the use of technology i.e. companywide emails, posters and announcements, etc.
  • May assist the Benefits and HRIS Administrator with the workers compensation program including claims reporting, ergonomics, safety, OSHA Log, “return to work” evaluations, medical management, and frequent communication with WC carrier. Assists managers/supervisors with the completion of accident/incident notification reports and investigations.
  • Interacts with and counsels employees and managers regarding factors that affect morale, performance, efficiency, and manager/employee relationships. Provides critical analysis of situations to suggest solutions and courses of action for problem resolution with managers and employees.
  • Maintains employee database (HRIS system) and provides human resources information reporting for assigned client group.
  • Conducts individual new hire orientations for all levels of employee including the management onboarding and orientation.

 

 

 

What your background will be:

 

  • A bachelor’s degree Human Resource Management, Business Administration or other related discipline and 4+ year’s relevant experience, or equivalent combination. 
  • Experience with full cycle recruiting required.
  • Experience working in a Corporate environment supporting commercial teams strongly preferred.
  • SPHR / PHR certification highly desired; knowledge of federal and state employments laws required.
  • General understanding of fundamentals within other departments of the organization required.
  • HRIS experience of moderate to advanced complexity required; previous  UKG (UltiPro) experience highly desired.
  • Computer proficiency to include web browser/internet search, MS Outlook, Word, Excel, and Power Point capabilities. Technical competence includes the ability to learn new systems quickly.
