Role Summary/Purpose:
The SVP & Chief Marketing Office, Health & Wellness is responsible for the marketing strategy, team leadership and program execution to achieve key portfolio and client objectives for the Health & Wellness platform.

Essential Responsibilities:
- Lead the consumer and client marketing teams supporting a wide range of health and wellness industry clients to develop and implement marketing strategies, product strategies and programs to achieve the annual operating plan and long-term growth objectives for the Health & Wellness platform.
- Collaborate with the Chief Growth Officer, H&W CEO, GM/Sales Leaders and Platform cross-functional leadership to drive growth of the platform.
- Develop strategic marketing initiatives to drive network expansion and Synchrony wide growth opportunities.
- Serve as principal marketing contact on issues affecting the platform and its clients, secure funding/support for critical strategic initiatives, and identify strategic partnership or marketing opportunities.
- Optimize investment and budget allocation to exceed operating plan and optimize returns.
- Drive and support ongoing strategy for value proposition enhancements, new product opportunities and other innovations.
- Deliver repeat sales and loyalty among existing cardholders through innovative offers, targeting, and campaign strategies.
- Oversee initiatives to support strategy and deliver on ongoing SYF-wide cross-sell integrations, including affiliate programs with partners, merchants and aggregators
- Lead team to monitor competitor and credit industry trends to proactively identify innovation opportunities to deliver for our platform and partners.
- Develop growth strategies to support client and business objectives to assist in winning deals.
- Partner with Corporate Affairs/Communications and Brand team to ensure alignment of brand strategy, thought leadership/reputation management and engagement with state and federal legislators on Health & Wellness marketing.
- Develop, engage and inspire team of 80 marketing professionals.

Qualifications/Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree; or, in lieu of degree; high school diploma/GED and 20+ years' work experience in Marketing, Strategy or General Management within Financial Services
- 15+ years of experience in Marketing, Strategy or General Management in Financial Services, Health & Wellness or like industry/heavily regulated industry to include:
- 5+ years Leadership experience in large Matrix Organizations with strong regulatory oversight
- Strong influencing experience and capability of CEO and C-Level Officers of Large Publicly traded organizations
- Domain expertise in two or more areas of marketing - B2B, Product Marketing, Consumer, Lifecycle, Branding, Digital (social/programmatic, SEO/SEM).

- Appreciation/keen eye for excellent creative/content to drive brand and category growth.
- MBA or equivalent master's degree
- Payments network experience or experience working across a range of large corporations, medium and small business clients is a plus.
- Experience with public relations and corporate/regulatory affairs
- Experience working with Salesforce.com for B2B Marketing
Grade/Level: 17
The salary range for this position is 240,000 - 410,000 USD. This position is also eligible for an Annual Incentive Plan target of 40% of salary and an Annual Equity target of 40% of salary.
Actual compensation offered within the posted salary range will be based upon work experience, skill level or knowledge.
Salaries are adjusted according to market in CA, NY Metro and Seattle.
Eligibility Requirements:
- You must be 18 years or older
- You must have a high school diploma or equivalent
- You must be willing to take a drug test, submit to a background investigation and submit fingerprints as part of the onboarding process
- You must be able to satisfy the requirements of Section 19 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act.
- New hires (Level 4-7) must have 9 months of continuous service with the company before they are eligible to post on other roles. Once this new hire time in position requirement is met, the associate will have a minimum 6 months' time in position before they can post for future non-exempt roles. Employees, level 8 or greater, must have at least 18 months' time in position before they can post. All internal employees must consistently meet performance expectations and have approval from your manager to post (or the approval of your manager and HR if you don't meet the time in position or performance expectations).
