Job Description
- Support both Direct Marketing and Strategic Partner efforts to drive business to the Company.
- Implement, monitor, and protect the feel and reputation of our Company and brand with the goal of increasing awareness among prospective clients, driving lead flow and business, converting applications to customers and driving strategic partner awareness and conversion.
- Execute national and local marketing plans including, but not limited to: digital marketing initiatives, direct mail, strategic partnership channel marketing, event activation, promotions, grassroots marketing, etc.
- Create weekly market reports demonstrating financial metrics, recapping efforts, identifying opportunities and communicating project status.
- Trade show management.
- Develop Marketing Strategy to increase awareness, acceptability and loyalty from businesses to the Company.
- Develop Marketing Calendar and execution of all promotional/advertising and communications for in-store, digital, social media, etc.
- Work closely with the Marketing Team to lead, create, manage, control, and execute marketing plans.
- Social media marketing and management.
- Deep understanding of SalesForce.com, Pardot and Marketing Cloud.
- Leverage data to make informed decisions.
- Proactively bring creative and innovative ideas to the team to stay relevant in a competitive industry.
- Genuine curiosity to understand our business and our products, as well as the nuances of this industry.
- Support product development efforts to improve existing products and introduce new products by ensuring a strong brand fit and business need.
- Measure proven success of marketing efforts and make suggestions for improvements.
- Build strong relationships with all applicable accounts - be a positive face for our brand.
- Work with CEO and Controller to develop and manage marketing budget.
- Work with team to recommend viable marketing opportunities for specific verticals, regions and use cases.
- Work closely with sales team to support and enhance their efforts through marketing efforts.
- Be communicative, ask questions, learn and listen. Process and form an actionable plan. Scale this process.
- Able to maintain constant and open communication with direct reports, as necessary.
- Must possess a positive outlook and personality to encourage, support, and mentor all direct reports.
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant field, with Master’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing or related field a plus.
- 10 years of progressive marketing experience - preferably in business to business, with experience in finance and across many different channels of marketing.
- Previous cannabis marketing leadership experience a plus
- Previous finance marketing experience preferred.
- Merchant Banking Experience preferred
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Extremely reliable, responsive and accountable.
- Minimum of 10 years related marketing experience and recent marketing leadership experience
- Event/Trade/Field Marketing Experience.
- Strong business acumen.
- Strong presentation skills.
- Current Expertise-level abilities with MS Office, and experience with Adobe Illustrator and MS Publisher a plus.
