Under the direction of the Staff Services Manager I (SSM I) in the Workforce Services Branch Division Office, the incumbent is responsible for a variety of complex analytical administrative duties critical to supporting the Workforce Services program service delivery. Analyzes and evaluates regulations, directives, policies, and procedures to make recommendations to management on the full range of Workforce Services (WS) issues, problems and concerns and prepares reports and correspondence in these same areas. As a technical expert in a particular program area, acts in a consulting capacity to the field and other departmental staff by providing problem-solving advice and program information. Has an area or division wide responsibility for coordinating activities in a particular program ensuring consistent application of policies, procedures, and standards. Conducts Field Office evaluations, analyzing field office effectiveness in terms of production and overall accomplishments in meeting program and administrative goals and objectives.

This position is located in Riverside, but applicants must be willing to travel to multiple locations within the Southern Division. We currently offer a hybrid work model that is subject to change according to the operational needs or policy change.

Statement of Qualifications Requirements
A Statement of Qualifications (SOQ) is Required. The SOQ serves as documentation of each candidate’s ability to present information clearly and concisely in writing. The SOQ is not a resume or cover letter.
The SOQ must summarize your education, training, experience, and skills that qualify you for this position.
- Must have both first and last name, be no more than two (2) pages in length.

Background Investigation Requirement
The position(s) may require an applicant to pass a background investigation. However, applicants will not be asked to provide information about a conviction history unless they receive a conditional offer of employment.
The department will make an individualized assessment of whether the conviction history has a direct or adverse relationship with the specific duties of the job and the work performed by the department. The department will consider potential mitigating factors, including, but not limited to, evidence and extent of rehabilitation, recency, nature and seriousness, and age at the time of the offense(s).
The investigation will consist of completion of a personal history statement and fingerprinting checks with the Federal Bureau of Investigation, Department of Justice, and/or local law enforcement agencies. Anyone failing to pass the background investigation will be provided information on how to appeal the process. A criminal conviction may not result in an automatic determination of "Not Qualified."
