You are applying to become part of the San Francisco Giants Social Media team, providing support to the Social Media team through content creation and game coverage on the @SFGiants and @OraclePark accounts. About the Role:
The San Francisco Giants are looking for a part-time Social Media Assistant, where you will have the unique opportunity to engage with @SFGiants fans on social channels, assist in content creation, and monitor Social Media trends. You’ll work closely with the Giants Marketing Department, including SFGProductions and Design Studio departments that tie into the fan engagement goals of the Giants. The ideal candidate will have a strong ability to work well with team members, think outside the box, and create new ideas. This role reports to the Social Media Manager. This position will be a hybrid role, spending time in our beautiful ballpark headquarters at 24 Willie Mays Plaza in San Francisco and working from home.

You're Excited About This Opportunity Because…
- Support the strategy and content distribution for @SFGiants and @OraclePark Social Media, including but not limited to: Facebook, X, Instagram, Snapchat, TikTok, and other emerging platforms
- Daily monitoring of the @SFGiants and other related teams/leagues Social Media content
- Write and develop original, compelling content across multimedia channels and different audience groups
- Assist in the growth of the brand through existing Social Media platforms
- Provide creative insight into topics to be included in monthly content calendars
- Provide analytics on @SFGiants social platforms
Qualifications
- 1-2 years Social Media experience
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate, both written and verbally
- Knowledge of Social Media trends and high-level cultural moments spanning sports and entertainment
- Positive attitude, open to learning, not afraid to fail, and is open to new ideas
- Passionate about providing fans with a great digital experience by listening, interacting and producing innovative content
- Ability to work and travel non-traditional hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays (this position will require working most weekends throughout the MLB season)
- Ability to speak Spanish a plus but not required
- Knowledge of the sport of baseball, both MLB and @SFGiants
- Knowledge of the Adobe Suite including After Effects, Photoshop and Premiere is a plus

At the San Francisco Giants, we carefully consider a wide range of factors when determining compensation, including your background and experience. These considerations can cause your compensation to vary. The hourly rate for this position will be $28.00 /hour.
In addition to your pay, the San Francisco Giants believe in providing a competitive total rewards package for its employees. After 60 days of employment, you may be eligible for indemnity healthcare through Healthy SF, which includes medical, dental and prescription coverage and access to Giants tickets.
