The Senior Accountant is responsible for preparing accurate and timely reports, data, and documents to support monthly closes. Responsible for assisting the Accounting Manager in performing balance sheet, revenue, expense, and payroll account reconciliations, as well as executing accounts payable and accounts receivable processes. This position will also analyze financial data for discrepancies. Maintain a professional working relationship with internal and external customers.
Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Work collaboratively with the Accounting Manager to ensure completeness of accurate, timely financial statements in accordance with our established schedule and with input from the rest of the accounting department.
- Contribute to the execution of monthly and quarterly and annual close processes including completing account reconciliations to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance.
- Analyze financial data for discrepancies and other issues that should be brought to the Accounting Manager's attention.
- Review, investigate, and correct errors and inconsistencies in financial entries, general ledger accounts, and financial reports.
- Review all inter-company transactions and generate invoices as necessary.
- Assist accounting manager in reconciling balance sheet accounts and expense accounts.
- Provide training to new and existing team members as required.
- Delegate financial responsibilities to accounting team, if any.
- Work closely with internal and external auditors in completing audits providing appropriate insight and documentation.

Qualifications include but not limited to:
Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance with a minimum of 5 years' experience in accounting/finance.
- Knowledge of inventory tracking systems and capital asset systems
- Experience and working knowledge of GAAP standards
- Ability to synthesize data and information
