Systems Administrator

MUST BE IN THE AUSTIN AREA...

We are seeking a skilled Systems Administrator to join our team. As a Systems Administrator, you will be responsible for maintaining and optimizing our organization's computer systems and networks. You will work closely with the IT team to ensure the smooth operation of our infrastructure and provide technical support to end-users.

```Duties```

- Install, configure, and maintain operating systems, software applications, and system management tools.

- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure high levels of availability and security.

- Manage user accounts, permissions, and access rights.

- Perform regular backups and ensure data integrity.

- Collaborate with IT team members to design and implement system improvements.

- Evaluate emerging technologies and make recommendations for upgrades or enhancements.

- Provide technical support to end-users, including troubleshooting hardware and software issues.

- Create and maintain documentation of system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides.

```Requirements```

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.

- Proven experience as a Systems Administrator or similar role.

- Strong knowledge of UNIX/Linux operating systems.

- Experince with AWS (EC2, Route 53, etc)

- Experience with database administration, is preferred.

- Familiarity with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware) is a plus.

- Understanding of APIs and microservices architecture.

- Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Shell Scripting, T-SQL) for automation tasks.

- Familiarity with solution architecture principles.

- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
