THE COMPANY
Owners John and Jennifer Garrett launched the first edition of Community Impact Newspaper in 2005 with three full-time employees covering Round Rock and Pflugerville. Now, Community Impact Newspaper distributes hyperlocal news and information to millions of local residents and business owners each month through the mail and weekdays through multi-platform digital delivery. Community Impact Newspaper is invested in the communities we serve and has dedicated reporters in each community who attend city council and school board meetings. We are among the first to report on local business, transportation, education, and health care. Our staff serve on chamber boards, volunteer with nonprofits, and are involved in our communities to make them better places to live and work. THE POSITION
We are seeking a hands-on, hard-working, detail-oriented professional to join our team making a difference in our community. The Sales Support Specialist team supports our field sales teams across Texas and works with internal departments such as Operations & Finance to overall grow revenue, ensure quality and provide exceptional customer service.
JOB DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES
- Learn and apply CI’s media kit and sales processes
- Develop expertise in internal software and programs, including our Customer Management System (CRM), CIIMS
- Learn and maintain Sales “HOW TO” process documents
- Provide field sales team members with guidance and support to grow new and renewal business contracts, meet deadlines and deliver quality products
- Partner with select field sales team members to provide direct support to a small amount of external advertising partners, including managing communication and artwork
- Create and/or review new orders and order revisions for all print and digital product lines
- Become a subject matter expert in our special products including inserts, sticky notes and direct mail
- Assist the Design & Digital Teams with quality control of artwork
- Assist and partner with the Admin Team on responding to sales leads and answering any questions about sales accounts, tearsheet or audits
- Assist the Finance & Printing Teams on quoting and billing processes
- Attend weekly team meetings reporting on quarterly objectives, sharing ideas and best practices, and bringing forth any issues along with solutions
- Represent Community Impact Newspaper in a positive and professional manner, and exercise discretion in how and where to promote the company to readers, community leaders, news sources, and the general public

In addition to general team member expectations, this role specifically requires the following:
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum requirements:
- Proficiency in Mac-based applications, Microsoft Suite, and Google Suite
- Valid driver’s license, motorist insurance, and own transportation
Preferred qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, communications, advertising, marketing, or related field
- At least one (1) year of experience working in media, sales or customer service
- At least one (1) year of experience using HubSpot CR
