Purchasing/Inventory assistant

A Buyer position in Moorpark, CA is available at G.T. Water Products Inc. You should possess a minimum of 1 year of purchasing experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment. Here at G.T. Water Products we are we have a 50 + years in the manufacturing industry of plumbing products. Responsibilities or duties subject to change.

Buyer job responsibilities include:

• Generate purchase orders as required by Bill of Materials, stock supply on hand and inventory count
• As material is received, update receipt of invoice on inventory
• Inventory management /work with warehouse team & sales
• Process discrepant material reports as required and/or requested
• May research vendors and suppliers and their respective pricing to ensure G.T. Water Products Inc. is getting optimum value
• Establish good relationship with our suppliers
• Prepares, reviews, and distributes daily reports
• Research all backorder issues and expedite product as necessary

Qualifications:

• One to two years of buying experience in a manufacturing environment prefer
• High School Equivalent preferred
• Demonstrated leadership capabilities with strong interpersonal skills
• Critical thinking and customer service skills
• Proven task record in setting and meeting goals
• Establishing credibility and trust among cross-functional teams
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• With little to no supervision
• Demonstrated proficiency with computer software Sage 100 software preferred

Pay: $19.00 - $22.00 per hour
